UPDATE: 12:15 PM, Monday, May 13, 2024: The Chef Pass Bridge has reopened as of 12:15 PM today. DOTD engineers have completed repairs ahead of schedule. DOTD thanks the public for their patience and understanding during the closure.

Details: The Chef Pass Bridge on US 90 east of Venetian Isles has been closed to vehicular traffic, however itt will remain open to marine traffic on call. Damages from a marine collision were discovered during a routine inspection. The damages warrant the closing of the structure to vehicular traffic to maintain safety for the traveling public. Crews will mobilize to make repairs soon. There is no estimated reopening date at this time.
