RAMP CLOSURES for crash attenuator repair, Caddo Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the following nighttime ramp closures have been scheduled for the purpose of crash attenuator repair in Shreveport, Caddo Parish.
- Sept. 13th at 9:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m.: LA 1 northbound ramps to both I-20 eastbound and westbound.
- Sept. 14th at 9:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m.: I-220 westbound ramp to I-49 northbound.
A crash attenuator, also known as an impact attenuator, is a device intended to reduce the damage to structures, vehicles, and lessen injuries to motorists resulting from a collision. These devices are designed to absorb the colliding vehicle’s energy.
Restrictions/Permits: Total ramp closures at the specified location. All vehicles will need to detour.
Alternate Route: Detour signage will be in place.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
