LANE CLOSURE: I-20 westbound over Red River, Caddo & Bossier Parishes

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, the I-20 westbound bridge over the Red River in Caddo and Bossier Parishes will be restricted to two lanes of traffic.

This lane closure is scheduled to take place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and is necessary to allow for routine bridge inspection.
Additionally, the I-20 westbound on-ramp from Traffic Street will be closed as part of the inspection.

Alternate route: Traffic coming onto I-20 from Traffic Street will need to detour via US 80 (Texas Street) to LA 1 (Market Street) to I-20.

The lane closure on I-20 over the Red River will allow vehicles 14 feet wide or smaller to pass through the bridge inspection zone. Larger vehicles must detour using I-220 to LA 1 to LA 3094 to I-20.

Restrictions/Permits: N/A

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

Safety Reminder:

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
