DOTD announces project to install left turn lane along LA 18

ST. CHARLES PARISH– The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the start of a $446,412 project to install a left turn lane along LA 18 at LA 3060 (Barton Road), in St. Charles Parish, beginning Monday, September 9, 2019.
Motorists may expect intermittent lane closures between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The contractor is KCR Contractors, LLC. The project is estimated for completion by winter 2019.
All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking or biking near an active work zone.
