UPDATE: EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURES: Claiborne and Webster Parishes


The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the following roadways in Claiborne and Webster Parishes have been REOPENED following closures due to flooding:

Webster Parish:

LA 164 between US 371 and LA 163 - **REOPENED**
US 80 westbound 3 miles west of US 371 - **REOPENED**


Claiborne Parish:

LA 518 between LA 2 and LA 146 - **REOPENED**
LA 518 5 miles east of the Webster Parish line - **REOPENED**
LA 520 near David Wade Correctional Center - **REOPENED**
LA 3062 near US 79 Bypass - **REOPENED**
LA 540 near US 79 Bypass - **REOPENED**


There are currently no weather related closures in Webster, Claiborne or Bienville Parishes.

DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason. Also, remember to never drive through standing or running water.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
