UPDATE - LANE CLOSURES: I-20 at LA 531 interchange, Webster Parish (UPDATE 7/17/2025): DOTD advises motorists that the lane closures on I-20 eastbound and westbound at the LA 531 interchange will remain in place until approximately Thursday, July 24, 2025. This is necessary to allow the contractor for the ongoing overpass project to safety mobilize equipment near and around the median of I-20.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, the outside (right) lanes of I-20 eastbound and westbound at the LA 531 overpass near Minden in Webster Parish will be closed.
These lane closures are scheduled to take place from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for one day, and are necessary to allow for construction activities related to the ongoing LA 531 overpass replacement project.
Traffic is currently flowing over the newly constructed LA 531 bridge, and the old structure has since been removed. The contractor is working on paving operations for the two roundabouts located at the interstate ramps that are included as part of the project.
The entire project is anticipated to be complete in late Summer 2025, weather and other factors permitting.

Restrictions/Permits: These inside lanes will be maintained at 16 feet wide to allow oversize loads to pass through the work zone.

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
