PROJECT COMPLETE: LA 1 (Youree Dr.) asphalt overlay, Caddo Parish
SHREVEPORT – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the completion of the $3.8 million project to repair a three mile section of the busy LA 1 (Youree Drive) corridor in Shreveport.
The project provided numerous full-depth base repairs and new asphalt paving from Stoner Avenue to Southfield Road, along with various sidewalk repairs, new roadway striping and signage, and other related work.
The project was funded through an additional $7.5 million allocated by the state legislature to each DOTD regional office.
This type of investment in the state infrastructure system strengthens the fabric of the overall transportation network, as well as enhances the driving experience and safety for motorists.
DOTD appreciates the patience and understanding of the traveling public while this and other construction projects are underway.
