LA 531 at I-20 Interchange (Roundabout) Project

DOTD proposes to replace the existing LA 531 overpass over I-20 in Webster Parish. In addition to the new overpass, the project includes the construction of three roundabouts along the corridor to facilitate improved traffic flow.
A public meeting was held to present two design alternatives that will widen portions of the existing roadway to increase capacity near the interchange ramps. This project is currently in the environmental assessment phase. Once the environmental assessment is complete, DOTD will host a public hearing to present its findings. In 2019, the project advanced to the right-of-way phase.
The next phase is design, which is estimated to complete in the fall 2015.

- At this time, the project is scheduled to go to bid in July 2021. (Please note that letting dates can and often do change based on a number of factors).
