U-Turn underneath I-10 immediately North of the Metairie Rd./City Park Ave. interchange leading to Pontchartrain Blvd., the left lane within this U-Turn shall be completely closed, this closure shall be a 24-hr. closure beginning at 6:30 AM January 27, 2016 and lasting until 6:30 AM January 30, 2016, the Contractor will be repairing the concrete barrier wall within this U-Turn.
Motorist vehicles, permit loads, and emergency vehicles shall not be able to U-turn from the I-10 WB direction to the section Pontchartrain Blvd. between Metairie Rd. and Airline Dr.; however, vehicles shall be able to continue straight to Pontchartrain Blvd. near Lakelawn Funeral Home.
Detour Routes – Exit from I-10 WB to West End Blvd., left turn onto Veteran’s Memorial Blvd., U-turn back toward I-10 EB entrance from Veteran’s Memorial Blvd., exit from I-10 EB to Metairie Rd./City Park Ave., continue thru Metairie Rd. interchange to Pontchartrain Blvd.
