The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that starting on Sunday, January 17, 2016, a Northbound lane of I-49 at the bridge structure at LA 493 will be closed from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM due to inspection activities on the bridge. One lane will be closed at a time to accommodate the inspectors.
The scope of work includes Cold planing Asphaltic Concrete Pavement, Pavement Patching, Superpave Asphaltic Concrete Pavement, Lime Treatment, In-Place Cement Stabilized Base Course, Striping, Guardrail and Related Work. This contract amount of $6,585,490.15 was awarded to Progressive Construction Co., LLC of Alexandria, LA on 9/10/2014.
Permit/Detour section
The Department is advising that permitted loads will be held to 16 feet or less during this time frame.
