**UPDATE**
There will be intermittent closures of LA 22 at the Madisonville Bridge over the Tchefuncte River (Milepost 67.48) beginning on Monday, November 9, 2015 and continuing through Tuesday, November 24, 2015 while crews repair and replace electrical and hydraulic components on the bridge. Bridge closures will occur weekdays (Monday through Friday) 9:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m. (weather permitting) and the bridge will return to normal operation for the weekends.
During this time, marine openings will occur twice daily (at 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM). If marine openings are needed at other times, please contact Van Bailey at 225-933-8066 for special arrangements.
Permit/Detour Section
To avoid delays eastbound motorists may take LA 21 North to I-12, East on I-12 to US 190 (Exit 63B), East on US 190 to LA 22.
Westbound motorists may take US 190 West to I-12, West on I-12 to LA 21 (Exit 59), South on LA 21 to LA 22.
