US 425 ROUNDABOUT @ JULIA STREET
RICHLAND PARISH
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LDOTD) is conducting an Open House Public Meeting for the proposed intersection improvements on US 425 at the junction of Julia Street and Louisa Street in Richland Parish as follows:

LDOTD, in conjunction with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), proposes to construct of a four leg, two-lane roundabout at the intersection of Grimshaw Street on the west approach, South Julia Street (US 425) on the north approach, Christian Street on the east approach, and South Louisa Street (US 425) on the south approach. The purpose and need for the project is to provide improvements to the intersection at US 425 due to the large volume of turning movements as well as through traffic at the intersection. US 425 would remain open and the proposed roundabout would be constructed under traffic. The purpose of the meeting is to provide information about the project and to obtain input from the public and any other interested parties. Informational materials will be distributed and graphic displays will be available for viewing. A continuous presentation will be shown describing the project and its anticipated impacts, including acquisition of right-of-way. LDOTD representatives will be present to answer questions and discuss issues related to the project. Verbal and written comments about the project can be submitted at the meeting. Comments can also be mailed to the address shown below, postmarked by November 13, 2015.
