The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that, weather permitting, construction work will begin on the US 171 North Bound lane at LA 1213 cross drain replacement project, Thursday, June 18, 2015 and will continue for approximately (2) two months. This 0.015 mile long project will receive drainage structures, pavement patching, and related work.
The project was awarded to the low bidder, Apeck Constuction, Inc. in the amount of $489,209.10.
Permit/Detour section
The US 171 North will be open to traffic at all times. There will be no restrictions for regular traffic and a 12’ wide lane width restriction for all oversize vehicles. LA 1213 at the intersection of US 171 North will be closed for the first phase of the project. The US 171 North Bound Lane will be reduced to one lane for the duration of the project. A subsequent press release will be issued to notify the public when the intersection of LA 1213 at US 171 North will re-open to traffic.
