The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on Thursday, May 7, 2015, road construction work will begin on LA 493, in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, from its junction with LA 1 to its junction with LA 119, for a total of 2.417 miles. It is anticipated that it will take approximately (6) sixth months to complete the work associated with this project, weather permitting.
The scope of work includes grading, cold planning asphaltic concrete, class II base course, in-place stabilized base course, lime treatment, and related work. The project was awarded to the low bidder, Diamond B Construction Co., L.L.C. (Alexandria, LA), in the amount of $1,735,253.60.
Permit/Detour section
Local traffic will be maintained at all times but there will be periodic lane closures and minor delays associated with this work.
