SPN H.009185: I-12 (Northshore/Airport Road – US 11)
March 27, 2015
There will be alternating nightly lane closures on Eastbound and Westbound I-12 between Bayou Vincent Bridge (Milepost 83.31) and the Gulf Mobile RR Overpass at Donya Street (Mileport 82.85) beginning on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 through Wednesday, April 1, 2015 between the hours of 7:00 PM and 6:00 AM (weather permitting) while crews perform milling operations.
Additional alternating nightly lane closures on Eastbound and Westbound I-12 between Northshore/Airport Road (Milepost 80.55) and US 11 (Milepost 83.85) are also scheduled for the following dates (weather permitting) while cold plane and overlay the roadway:
• Monday, April 6 through Thursday, April 9 (7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.)
• Sunday, April 12 through Friday, April 17 (7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.)
Permit/Detour Section
To avoid construction delays, Eastbound motorists may exit I-12 at Exit #80, travel South on Northshore Blvd. to US 190. Then take US 190 East to US 11 North back to I-12 Eastbound.
Westbound motorists may exit I-12 at Exit #83, travel South on US 11 to US 190. Then take US 190 West to Northshore Blvd, North on Northshore Blvd. to I-12 Westbound.
One lane of traffic will be open at all times. By law, oversize loads are not allowed to travel at night.
