I-49 Northbound Exit Ramp at Exit 1A – I-10 East (Baton Rouge) will be closed on the following nights, weather permitting.
- Wednesday, November 11 at 8:00 p.m. until Thursday, November 12 at 6:00 a.m.
- Thursday, November 12 at 8:00 p.m. until Friday, November 13 at 6:00 a.m.
These ramp closures are necessary to allow crews to perform Diamond Grinding operations for the I-10 exit ramp.
Motorist traveling on I-49 Northbound will only be able to access I-10 East via the posted detour route, which includes continuing northbound on I-49 to Exit 1C – Pont Des Mouton Road, turn west on Pont Des Mouton Road, then take I-49 Southbound to Exit 1A – I-10 East (Baton Rouge).
Emergency vehicles will not have access to the I-49 Northbound exit ramp at Exit 1A – I-10 East (Baton Rouge).
Detour routes will be posted during the ramp closure periods.
There will be no vehicle width restrictions with this work.
