DOTD announces LA 14 ditch cleaning and grading to begin Nov. 16, 2026 through Feb. 2027 – Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced a $271,747.00 project along LA 14 0.658 miles west of LA 101 to LA 101 in Hayes is scheduled to begin Monday, November 16, 2026.
Work includes ditch cleaning and grading, pipe cleaning and pipe replacement.
A single lane closure will be in place from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Traffic will be maintained with a flagging operation.
The project is anticipated to be complete by February 2027, weather permitting.
Descant’s Excavation and Construction Services, LLC is the contractor for the project.
