Full roadway closure: LA 82 from North Island Road to Superior Canal Bridge – Cameron Parish

Cameron Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced a full closure on LA 82 from North Island Road to the Superior Canal Bridge, beginning at Wednesday, November 4, 2026. Work is scheduled to be completed and the roadway reopened by Friday, November 13, 2026. The full closure will be in effect on weekdays only. No work will take place during the weekend, and LA 82 will be open to traffic on Saturdays and Sundays. Detour information: - Motorists heading eastbound on LA 82 will be detoured via LA 27 to LA 14, then LA 35 to LA 82.
- Motorists heading westbound on LA 82 will be detoured via LA 35 to LA 14, then LA 27 to LA 82.
The closure is necessary for crews to replace cross drains on LA 82. Work will be performed, weather permitting.
