UPDATE: The lane closure has been extended to Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
Jefferson Davis Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced there will be alternating lane closures on LA 14 Northbound and Southbound between 4th St. and 3rd. St. in Lake Arthur, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, beginning Tuesday, October 13, through Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
The closure is necessary for crews to clean and reseal pavement joints. Work will be completed, weather permitting.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
