LA 38 Bridge Replacements over Darling Creek - between LA 432 and Wales Rd. – Full Road Closure – Chipola, LA – St. Helena Parish

There will be a full roadway closure on LA 38, between LA 432 and Wales Rd., beginning at 6AM on Thursday, October 15, 2026 through 7PM on Friday, February 5, 2027, weather permitting, while DOTD crews replace two bridges over Darling Creek.

Motorists may use the following route to avoid the bridge closure:
Motorists traveling LA 38 east may take LA 10 east to LA 43, then north to re-intersect LA 38.
Motorists traveling LA 38 west may take LA 43 south to LA 10, then west to re-intersect LA 38.
