District 08 Flashing Yellow Arrow Upgrade Part 2 Routes: I-49, US 71, US 165, US 167, LA 1, LA 28, LA 498, LA 3054, LA 3100, & LA 3225 Rapides Parish The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning Monday, October 12, 2026 at 7:00 PM, weather permitting, there will be nightly alternating lane closures from 7:00 PM until 5:00 AM nightly at the following locations (One lane in each direction will remain open at all times.):
- US 165 at LA 1204 (Ball Cutoff Rd.)
- US 165 at US 167 SB ON/OFF Ramp
- US 165 at LA 623 (Paradise Road)
- LA 28 (North Bolton) at Odom St.
- LA 1208-3 (Jackson St.) at Dorchester Dr.
These closures are necessary to allow crews to complete traffic signal turn-ons and other work related to the ongoing $9 million flashing yellow left turn arrow upgrade project currently underway in Rapides Parish.
All work is anticipated to be completed at these intersections by October 16, 2026, with progress dependent on weather conditions and other factors that can impact construction timelines.
The contractor for this project is Jack B. Harper Electrical, LLC.

Permit/Detour section No detours or lane width reductions are anticipated as part of this work.
