I-49 Southbound at Exit 1B – I-10 West (Lake Charles), Lafayette Parish, Ramp Closures

I-49 Southbound Exit Ramp at Exit 1B – I-10 West (Lake Charles) will be closed on the following nights, weather permitting.
Thursday, October 8 at 8:00 p.m. until Friday, October 9 at 6:00 a.m.
Friday, October 9 at 9:00 p.m. until Saturday, October 10 at 9:00 a.m.
These ramp closures are necessary to allow crews to perform OGFC asphalt operations for the I-10 on ramp.
Motorist traveling on I-49 Southbound will only be able to access I-10 West via the posted detour route, which includes continuing Southbound on I-49 to Willow Street, turn east on Willow Street, then take I-49 Northbound to Exit 1B – I-10 West (Lake Charles).
Emergency vehicles will not have access to the I-49 Southbound exit ramp at Exit 1B – I-10 West (Lake Charles) and should seek an alternate route.
Detour routes will be posted during the ramp closure periods.
There will be no vehicle width restrictions with this work.
