Annual DOTD Road Show set for Northshore area

AMITE CITY, La. – The Joint Transportation, Highways, & Public Works Committee will conduct a legislative public hearing on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. The hearing, commonly referred to as the annual DOTD Road Show, will review highway construction priorities for state fiscal year 2027-2028.

This hearing covers Livingston, St. Helena, St. John the Baptist, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa and Washington parishes.


The preliminary FY 2027-2028 Highway Priority Program is available for review at DOTD Headquarters, 1201 Capitol Access Road, Room 200M, Baton Rouge, or online on the District 62 public hearing page.

Legislators, other elected officials, DOTD representatives and members of the public are invited to attend and will have an opportunity to learn about the proposed program and provide comments on transportation priorities affecting the area.

The hearing will also be accessible virtually. A livestream is available through the District 62 public hearing page.

Oral testimony may be supplemented with written information or documentation. Comments may also be submitted online. Written statements and comments may be handed to the committee conducting the hearing or mailed to the following address, postmarked within 45 calendar days following the final hearing:
