The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that beginning Monday, October 5, at 7:00 PM, weather permitting, there will be nightly alternating lane closures from 7:00 PM until 6:00 AM at the following locations (One lane in each direction will remain open at all times.):
US 165 at LA 1204 (Ball Cutoff Rd.) US 165 at Castor Plunge LA 28 at Vandenburg MacArthur Dr at Lee St. US 165 (Masonic Dr.) and Horseshoe Dr. US 165 (Masonic Dr.) and S. MacArthur Service Rd. US 165 at Ridge Rd. US 165 at Shandhai and Beeson LA 28 at Cloverleaf Blvd.
These closures are necessary to allow crews to complete traffic signal turn-ons and related work.
All work is anticipated to be completed at these intersections by October 9, 2026, with progress dependent on weather conditions and other factors that can impact construction timelines.
The contract was awarded to Jack B. Harper Electrical, LLC in the amount of $9,040,462.73
Permit/Detour section No detours or lane width reductions are anticipated as part of this work.
