NIGHTTIME LANE CLOSURES: I-49 northbound at I-20 interchange, Caddo Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that on the night of Tuesday, September 29, 2026, the right lane of I-49 northbound at the I-20 interchange (Exit 206) in Shreveport will be closed.

Additionally, the left lane of the exit ramp will be closed.

These lane closures are scheduled to take place from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for one (1) night, and are necessary for repair of the crash attenuator at this location.

The exit ramp itself will remain open during this work.

A crash attenuator – also known as an impact attenuator – is a roadway safety device designed to absorb a vehicle’s energy in a collision, reducing the potential for serious injury. These devices help protect motorists during a crash.

Restrictions/Permits: No detour necessary for this work.

Alternate Route: N/A

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
