The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 construction will begin on LA 126 between its intersection with US 167 and LA 34 in Winn Parish.
The intent of this project is to patch the existing pavement, mill asphalt pavement, replace cross drains, lay 4” of asphalt pavement and other related work.
The project was awarded to Gilchrist Construction Co., LLC for $5,540,169.17. The work associated with this project should take approximately 115 working days to complete.
Permit/Detour section
Thru traffic will be maintained at all times with oversize and emergency vehicles allowed passage, but periodic lane closures and delays can be expected. The public is advised to remain alert to construction signs and changing roadway conditions.
