Update: Friday, September 18, 2026 - The Bayou Blue Pontoon Bridge on LA 316 is now open to motorists.
Previous Notice:
Notice: The Bayou Blue Pontoon Bridge on LA 316 is closed to vehicular traffic until further notice due to an issue with the bridge’s computer control system.
The bridge is being maintained in the open position for marine traffic while specialized technical assistance is coordinated to make repairs.
Motorists should use an alternate route and allow additional travel time.
DOTD will provide an update when the bridge is reopened to vehicular traffic.
