The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that beginning Tuesday, September 15, at 7:00 AM, weather permitting, there will be alternating lane closures from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM on I-49 Northbound and Southbound from US 71 (Exit 80) to LA 112 (Exit 66).
These closures are necessary to allow for the installation of new pavement striping, raised pavement markers, and related work.
All work is anticipated to be completed by December 2026, with progress dependent on weather conditions and other factors that can impact construction timelines.
The contract was awarded to Nation Striping Company, LLC in the amount of $752,036.80.

There are no detour’s associated with this project/no width restrictions.
