Road Closure
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that beginning September 9, 2026 at 8:00 am, LA 1179 with be closed to through traffic just north of Barron Road.
The closure is necessary to allow for the replacement of a failing cross drain on LA 1179. The road will be reopen to traffic by the end of the day.
Permit/Detour section
Traffic will be detoured onto LA 107.
