NIGHTTIME RAMP CLOSURE: I-20 westbound at Exit 19A (Spring/Market), Caddo Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that on the night of Tuesday, September 8, 2026, the I-20 westbound off-ramp to Exit 19A (Spring/Market St) in downtown Shreveport will be closed for the purpose of crash attenuator repair at this location.

This ramp closure is scheduled to take place from approximately 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for one (1) night.

A crash attenuator, also known as an impact attenuator, is a device intended to reduce the damage to structures, vehicles, and lessen injuries to motorists resulting from a collision. These devices are designed to absorb the colliding vehicle’s energy.

Restrictions/Permits: Total ramp closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

Safety reminder:

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
