UPDATE: The lane closure has been extended.
Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced the left lane will be closed on Interstate 10 Eastbound and Westbound (Mile Marker 8 to Mile Marker 9) on the following dates and times.
- 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly from Monday, August 31, 2026, through Thursday, September 3, 2026.
The closure is necessary for crews to construct the concrete median barrier wall in the area. Work will be completed, weather permitting.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
