BRIDGE CLOSURE: Harrisonburg Road Over Nantaches Creek, Winn Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, construction will begin on Harrisonburg Rd. in Winn Parish. This work will take place at the bridge location over Nantaches Creek.
The intent of this project is remove and replace the existing bridge over Nantaches Creek. In addition, the scope of work will include asphalt concrete and base course on both sides of the bridge.
The project was awarded to the low bidder, Matt L. Guinn Construction, LLC., in the amount of $1,069,151.60. The work associated with this project should take approximately 115 working days to complete.
**REVISED DETOUR ROUTE**
Permit/Detour section
No traffic will be allowed passage while under construction. The eastbound detour route for this project will be via Parish Road 871 south and continue along Campground Road to US 71, south along US 71, then north along LA 34, then west along Wheeling Rd. The westbound detour wil be via LA 34 south to US 71, then north along US 71, then north on Campground Rd. and continue north on Parish Road 871.
