Alternating road closure: I-10 EB at LA 378 entrance ramp & I-10 WB at Lakeshore entrance ramp - Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced an I-10 Eastbound and Westbound alternating road closure from 10:00 PM Wednesday, August 19, 2026, through 5:00 AM Thursday, August 20, 2026.
The I-10 Westbound closure will be at the Entrance Ramp via Lakeshore Drive. The I-10 Eastbound closure will be at the Entrance Ramp via LA 378 (Sampson Street). Closures will be in 15-minute intervals, with a minimum of 30-minute openings to allow any queues to clear.
The closure is necessary for inspection of horizontal boring under the roadway. Work will be conducted weather permitting.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
