UPDATE: This closure has been rescheduled through Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026.

Calcasieu Parish
– The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that LA 14 Eastbound and Westbound at the railroad crossing 0.83 miles east of Corbina Road will have a full closure, beginning 6 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2026, through 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

This closure is necessary to allow crews to perform repairs to the at-grade railroad crossing on LA 14.

Detour information:

  • Motorists heading west on LA 14 will head north on LA 397, west on US 90, and south on Gerstner Memorial Blvd.
  • Motorists heading east on LA 14 will head north on Gerstner Memorial Blvd, east on US 90 and south on LA 397.

Detour signage will be installed along the route. Note: The detour route is marked in BLUE, and the closure area is marked in RED.
