LANE CLOSURES: I-49 southbound near Pierremont/Hollywood Exit, Caddo Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the following lane closures have been scheduled for I-49 southbound at the Pierremont Rd/Hollywood Ave interchange (Exit 203) in Shreveport:
- Tuesday, August 18, 2026: I-49 southbound, two outside (right) lane closures
- Wednesday, August 19, 2026: I-49 southbound, two inside (left) lane closures
These lane closures are scheduled to take place from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day, and are necessary to allow DOTD crews to perform repairs to the roadway as a result of heat-related buckling.
The ramps at this interchange will remain open.
Periods of extreme heat can cause pavement to expand, resulting in cracks and buckling at the roadway joint, commonly referred to as a ‘blow up.’ DOTD crews remain prepared during the summer months to address these issues as they arise.

Alternate Route: No detour necessary for this work.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
