JEFFERSON PARISH – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that nighttime repair work will begin Monday, Aug. 10, on the eastbound LA 3139 (Earhart Expressway) ramp over LA 3152 (Clearview Parkway).

Multiple bridge girders on the ramp were damaged by a vehicle impact. The contractor plans to conduct the primary repair work during nighttime hours over two consecutive weeks, Monday through Friday, with Saturday work performed if necessary.

The work will require nightly lane closures on northbound and southbound LA 3152 beneath the ramp. Single-lane closures will be permitted during the following hours:
  • Monday through Thursday: 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • Friday and Saturday: 8:30 p.m. to 8 a.m.
Double-lane closures will be permitted from 9:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Crews will remove damaged concrete from the large beams supporting the ramp and repair the steel strands within them. The concrete will then be replaced and other damaged areas will be patched. After the new concrete has hardened, crews will add several layers of carbon-fiber material to strengthen and protect the repaired beams.

The overall project is expected to be completed in September 2026, weather permitting.

Motorists should expect delays during the nighttime closures and use caution while traveling through the work zone. All work is weather permitting.
