I-10 WB entrance ramp at Sampson St. in Westlake closed until further notice due to damaged crash bar – Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that the I-10 Westbound entrance at Sampson Street in Westlake is closed until further notice due to damage to the crash bar.
Detour route:
- Motorists wanting to access I-10 WB from Sampson Street will head south on Sampson Street and proceed under the I-10 overpass, then enter I-10 EB at the I-10 S. Frontage Road, then take Exit 29 at (N. Lakeshore Drive), U-turn at Veterans Memorial Boulevard, then enter I-10 WB at N. Lakeshore Drive.
DOTD will issue an update once the I-10 WB on-ramp is opened.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
