LA 3017 / Peters Road Closure Scheduled for Drainage Repairs (Jefferson Parish)

JEFFERSON PARISH – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises motorists that LA 3017 / Peters Road in Harvey will be closed from Peters Road Cutoff to Peters Road Cutoff beginning at 7 a.m. Friday, July 31, through 7 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2026.
The closure is necessary for emergency work to remove and replace two damaged cross-drain pipes and restore the existing pavement.
Traffic will be detoured using Peters Road Cutoff. Motorists should follow the posted detour route and allow additional travel time.
Additional work will continue after August 3, but Peters Road is expected to reopen to traffic while the remaining work is completed using shoulder closures. The overall repair work is anticipated to be completed by the end of August, weather permitting.
DOTD appreciates motorists’ patience and reminds drivers to use caution near the work area and remain alert for crews and equipment.
