Nightly Closures Scheduled for Harvey Tunnel for Emergency Repair Work (Jefferson Parish)

JEFFERSON PARISH – The Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises motorists that the Harvey Tunnel on US 90 Business will be closed in both directions nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Friday, August 14, 2026, for emergency repair work.
During the nightly closures, motorists should use the elevated Westbank Expressway, Peters Road or Destrehan Avenue as alternate routes.
The tunnel will remain open to traffic outside of the scheduled closure hours.
DOTD appreciates motorists’ patience while the emergency repairs are completed and reminds drivers to use caution in the area and remain alert for work crews and equipment.
