The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that beginning Sunday, July 26, 2026 at 7:30 am through Friday, July 31, 2026, there will be a closure on LA 115 north of Hessmer, located approximately ¼ mile south of Large Road.
The purpose of this project is to replace cross drain pipes.
Detour Description for LA-115 Closure (North of Hessmer, LA) located approximately ¼ mile south of Large Road
LA-115 is closed just north of Hessmer. Traffic will be rerouted using a signed detour through Mansura and Marksville to maintain access and ensure safe travel.
Detour Route:
From LA-115 northbound, all traffic will be directed west onto LA-114 in Hessmer.
Continue on LA-114 into Mansura.
In Mansura, turn north onto LA-1.
Follow LA-1 into Marksville, where normal routing can resume.
Southbound traffic will follow the same route in reverse.

All construction activity is weather-dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
