Flagging operation: North Lakeshore Drive - Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced a flagging operation along North Lakeshore Drive from 8 AM – 5 PM daily on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, through Thursday July 23, 2026.
The operation will begin at the traffic switch. Work will be conducted weather permitting.
The closure is necessary to conduct embankment operations.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
