H.011504.6 Alexandria ITS – Phase 2 Routes: US 71 & US 167 Rapides Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that beginning Wednesday, July 22, at 8:00 AM, weather permitting, the US 167 northbound off ramp onto LA 107 will be closed daily from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 22, and Thursday, July 23.
All work is anticipated to be completed by July 23, 2026, with progress dependent on weather conditions and other factors that can impact construction timelines.
These closures are necessary to install new guardrail, and pour concrete guardrail pad.
The contract was awarded to Grady Crawford Construction Co. Inc. in the amount of $2,195,805.53.
Permit/Detour section
There are no lane width restrictions associated with this ramp closure or detour.
Motorists traveling northbound on US 167 who wish to access LA 107 southbound should follow the signed detour:
Proceed north on US 167 Exit onto LA 28. Turn left onto LA 28 westbound. Use the left-turn lane to turn southbound onto US 167. Continue approximately 0.75 miles and take the exit for LA 1250 (Shamrock Street). At the stop sign, turn left onto Shamrock Street. Immediately turn left onto LA 107 South.
Please follow all posted detour signs and use caution while traveling through the work zone.
