***UPDATE***DOTD to host open house public hearing on Bundick Lake Flood Surcharge Management – Beauregard Parish

UPDATE: The time for the public hearing has been changed from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Beauregard Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) will host an open house public hearing from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026, to discuss the Bundick Lake Flood Surcharge Management project.
The open house is intended for the public to view documents and ask questions concerning the project’s design and environmental impact assessment. The project is currently in the design phase and is intended to replace the existing spillway to reduce frequent flooding around the lake.

Agencies on hand to answer questions during the open house include DOTD, Michael Baker International (the project’s design team), and the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF). Exhibit stations will be on display at the open house.
