DOTD to Rehabilitate I-10 Westbound Off-Ramp in Acadia Parish

ACADIA PARISH, LA — The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that construction will begin Thursday, July 23, 2026, on a $433,000 rehabilitation project at the I-10 westbound off-ramp at Exit 92 (LA 95 – Mire/Duson).

The project is being undertaken to repair deteriorated and broken concrete pavement panels that no longer meet DOTD roadway ride quality specifications. Rehabilitating the ramp will provide motorists with a smoother, safer driving surface, improve ride quality, extend the life of the roadway, and help reduce future maintenance needs.

Work will include:
  • Base course repairs
  • Concrete pavement patching
  • Asphalt pavement patching
  • Milling existing asphalt pavement
  • Asphalt concrete overlay
  • Related roadway improvements
Construction is scheduled to take place during nighttime and weekend hours, weather permitting, to minimize impacts to the traveling public.

Ramp Closure Schedule
The I-10 westbound off-ramp at Exit 92 (LA 95 – Mire/Duson) will be closed during the following times:
  • Monday: 9:00 p.m. – Tuesday 6:00 a.m.
  • Tuesday: 9:00 p.m. – Wednesday 6:00 a.m.
  • Wednesday: 9:00 p.m. – Thursday 6:00 a.m.
  • Thursday: 9:00 p.m. – Friday 6:00 a.m.
  • Friday: 9:00 p.m. – Monday 6:00 a.m.
During these closures, motorists traveling westbound on I-10 who wish to access Exit 92 will follow a signed detour route by continuing west on I-10 to Exit 87 (LA 35 – Church Point/Rayne), traveling south on LA 35 to US 90, west on US 90 to LA 95, and then north on LA 95 to the Exit 92 area.

Emergency vehicles will not have access to the I-10 westbound off-ramp at Exit 92 during the scheduled closure periods.
The project is expected to be completed in August 2026, weather permitting.

DOTD appreciates the public's patience during construction and encourages motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limits, and remain alert for workers and equipment in the work zone.
