There will be a full roadway closure at the LA 16 bridge located 0.5 miles south of I-12 (or 0.5 miles north of LA 1034), beginning at 6AM on July 20, 2026 through 7PM on August 5, 2026, weather permitting, while DOTD crews perform bridge repair operations.

Detour Information:
Motorists may use the following route to avoid the bridge closure:
Motorists traveling LA 16 south may take US 190 west to LA 3002, then south to LA 1034, then east to re-intersect LA 16.
Motorists traveling LA 16 north may take LA 1034 west to LA 3002, then north to US 190, then east to re-intersect LA 16.
