UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 169 north of I-20, Caddo Parish (UPDATE 7/27/2026): DOTD advises motorists that repairs to both bridges along LA 169 north of Greenwood in Caddo Parish are now complete ahead of schedule, and the roadway is fully open to traffic.

Original notification - 7/13/2026:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Monday, July 20, 2026, the following bridge closures along LA 169 in Caddo Parish have been scheduled for necessary piling repair:
- Monday, July 20th through Thursday, July 23, 2026: LA 169 bridge over Piney Bayou (approx. 6.3 miles north of I-20)
- Friday, July 24th through Thursday, July 30, 2026: LA 169 bridge over South Fork Cross Bayou near the Town of Greenwood (approx. 0.3 miles north of I-20)
These bridge repairs were strategically scheduled to take place prior to the start of the upcoming school year.
DOTD acknowledges the inconvenience to the traveling public, while also emphasizing the importance of this maintenance work in ensuring these bridges remain in service to the community.
Restrictions/Permits: Total bridge closures at each location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route: Detour signage will be in place.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
