Nightly Roadway and Lane Closures: Sulphur Ave.(LA 379), Sampson St (LA 378), & Horseshoe Drive – Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that LA 379 (Sulphur Ave.) between Sampson St and Miller Avenue, lanes on LA 378 (Sampson Street) from Sulphur Ave. to the I-10 Service road, and Horseshoe Drive will be alternately closed, nightly, from 10 PM until 4 AM, Sunday July 12, 2026, through Thursday July 16, 2026.
These closures are necessary to transport the new Phillips 66 Pipe Rack modules from a delivery yard off Miller Avenue to a staging area south of Horseshoe Drive.
Police, contractor vehicles, and flagging personnel will escort the large self-propelled carrier which will be used to transport the pipe rack and then return to the yard off Miller.
Each section of roadway impacted will be reopened to traffic when the carrier has passed through to minimize disruption to motorists.
Work will be performed pending weather.
