UPDATE - Alternating Lane Closures; I-49, US 71, US 165, LA 28; Alexandria, Pineville, Rapides Parish

(UPDATED START DATE 7/10/2026): The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that beginning Monday, July 20, 2026 at 7:00 PM, weather permitting, there will be nightly alternating lane closures from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM at the following intersections (One lane in each direction will remain open at all times.): - US 165 (Masonic Dr.) at Horseshoe Dr.
- US 165 (Masonic Dr.) at South MacArthur (Service Rd. near Home Depot)
- MacArthur Dr. at Sugar House Rd.
- Broadway Ave. at Dallas Ave.
- LA 28 at Cloverleaf Blvd.
- Eddie Williams and Broadway
These closures are necessary to allow for the installation of new mast arms on the signal pole foundations for the new flashing yellow left turn arrows and related work. All work is anticipated to be completed at the above referenced intersections by late July 2026, with progress dependent on weather conditions and other factors that can impact construction timelines. Permit/Detour section There are no detour’s or lane width restrictions associated with this project. Safety Reminder All construction activity is weather-dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that beginning Monday, July 13, at 9:00 AM, weather permitting, there will be alternating lane closures from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the following intersections (One lane in each direction will remain open at all times.):
US 165 (Masonic Dr.) at Horseshoe Dr. US 165 (Masonic Dr.) at South MacArthur (Service Rd.) MacArthur Dr. at Sugar House Rd. Broadway Ave. at Dallas Ave.
There will be nightly alternating lane closures beginning Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 6:00 PM, weather permitting, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM at the following intersections (One lane in each direction will remain open at all times.):
LA 28 at Cloverleaf Blvd. Eddie Williams and Broadway
These closures are necessary to allow for the installation of new mast arms on the signal pole foundations and related work.
