RAMP/LANE CLOSURES: Routine bridge inspections in Caddo Parish


The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the following ramp and lane closures have been scheduled in Shreveport, Caddo Parish for the purpose of routine bridge inspection:

  • Monday, July 13, 2026: I-20 eastbound lane closure over Lakeshore Drive
  • Tuesday, July 14, 2026: LA 3132 westbound to I-20 westbound ramp closure
  • Wednesday, July 15, 2026: I-20 eastbound to LA 1 (Market St) southbound ramp closure
  • Thursday, July 16, 2026: LA 3132 westbound to I-49 northbound ramp closure
  • Friday, July 17, 2026: LA 3132 westbound to I-49 southbound ramp closure

These ramp and lane closure are anticipated to be in place from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.

Routine bridge inspections are conducted on a regular cycle by specially trained inspectors. These operations are critical to identifying maintenance issues that should be addressed, and to ensuring the structures remain in service to the traveling public.

Please drive with caution through the bridge inspection zones, and remain alert for specialized equipment and crews that will be on site.

Restrictions/Permits: Total ramp closures at the specified locations/times. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route during those time frames.

No vehicles larger than 12’ wide during the lane closures.

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
