ROAD CLOSURE: LA 474 at CPKC Railroad Crossing, Sabine Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises motorists that beginning on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, LA 474 (W. Port Arthur Ave.) at the CPKC Railroad crossing in Florien, Sabine Parish will be closed.
This full road closure is scheduled to be in place from 7:00 a.m. on July 21st until July 23rd at 7:00 p.m., and is necessary to allow CPKC crews to conduct necessary maintenance on the crossing.
This crossing is located immediately west of US 171.
Permit/Detour section
Traffic west of the crossing will be detoured westbound on LA 474, northbound on LA 476 from Negreet onto LA 6 in Many and southbound onto US 171 from Many to Florien.
Traffic east of the crossing will be detoured northbound on US 171 towards Many, west/southwest onto LA 6 and LA 476 towards Negreet and east onto LA 474.
West Front Street and East Front Street access will remain OPEN.
